Slow Pitch Softball Questions

Post by jrosenbluth » Sun May 08, 2011 2:56 pm

1) In slow-pitch softball, you strike out on any foul ball after you have 2 strikes on you. Is there a way to record that event, or must I record it as a "strikeout swinging" (no way to tell if the batter missed or hit a foul ball).

2) In slow-pitch softball, you have extra hitters, not designated hitters. When I enter the extra hitters, they are marked without a position. Or, if I try to make both of them desginated hitters, only one is marked as such. Is there anyway to mark them as extra hitters?

1) in the current version of iscore, I would think you would score it a strike out swinging you can add a note if you want to that it was a foul ball. Similar situation in baseball and fast pitch softball third strike foul bunt is a Ks, likewise a caught foul tip Ks. I try and note these for myself in notes. But no thre is no "special 3rd strike foul out" button or a way to show location of foul/bunt third strike out.

2) there is not an EP (extra player) choice in the batting type, you are correct. But that is all that you are missing, the EP tag, you have all the functionalty to bat as many extra players as you want, just set bat = yes. If the are in the batting line up, and have position as dash, you will just have to infer extra player status...
