Player Cards and League Management

Post by annettedb » Wed May 18, 2011 1:06 pm

I am attempting to view player cards for our first 3 tournaments only and then our last 4 tournaments only. I have created a league for each of the 7 tournaments. The team is not assigned to any specific leagues (to keep things clean) and the players are not assigned to specific teams (again to keep things clean).

So, I would expect that when I go to League Manager and select the first 3 tournaments, that I would then see the names of my players when I go to Player Manager. However, it seems that I have to go to each player and assign them to all of the tournaments one by one. Why is it like this? Am I doing something wrong?

That is an interesting dilemma. Fortunately there are a couple ways to still get the to the player cards.

When you turn leagues on/off, it will filter all data on the Manager screens by that league setting. So if you turn on "Tournament 1" league only, only the Players / Teams / Games that are in that league will be accessible from the respective manager.

One option is to assign your Team to all the leagues. You can then always go to Team Manager, select your team, select Roster, and tap any player there to get to the Player Card for the player for just the selected League.

The other option would be to not assign the Team, but instead go to Game Manager, select any of the games, select Pitch by Pitch, tap the Game Starts event, and tap Edit next to starting lineup. From there, you will see all the players that played in the game, and you can access the Player Cards from there.
