Beer League Stats

I'm in a "beer" league softball league. Most of the rules we have, i.e. start with 1 and 1 pitch count, seem to be taken care of in other posts, but there is one I would truly enjoy seeing. Beer Penalties!

Basically we have rules in place in order to keep the cooler stocked. An infield popup you owe 6 beers, strikeout is 6, a walk is 6 (we don't take walks...), etc. What I am thinking is adding a "custom" stats editor page to the main page. There you can enter in your various rules (and say how they'd look on a box score), so some # and a name. Under the Misc tab you can add a "custom" button which would pull up your rules and you can assign it someone in the field or the lineup. When done you would go back and enter in the play.

So let's say batter 1 hits an infield pop up. I would first hit "misc" -> "custom" -> "IF POP 6 beers" and it would ask who should it be assigned to. In this case the I'd pick the batter from the lineup. Another rule we have is spilling beer, you owe six beers, so if we are in the field and someone spills their beer you would just do the same thing. Then at the end of the game the custom stat would be added to the box score as "BrO" for Beers owed that game, with an all time "Br/G" stat.

I am not sure we would ever add these "beer league" rules to the iScore Baseball application directly (the majority of leagues actually have rules prohibiting alcohol), but we do think they are a fun idea. I could see having an application called "Beer League Baseball" that could track beer statistics for a game. When things start slowing down, maybe one of our developers will create an application for this purpose... as you may see from some of our other offerings, we have a "fun side" as well.

Just out of curiosity... where have you been able to find a park that allows alcohol? All the parks in our area prohibit alcohol... sounds like a fun league though.

It's a intramural graduate school league on a university campus Love the app btw. I use it in my regular league too.
