How to record a run scored during a third out play

Post by joehyuk » Fri Jul 31, 2009 3:03 pm

Situation is two outs with a runner on third. Batter hits a single but then gets caught in a rundown between 1st and 2nd. He is tagged out but meanwhile the runner on 3rd has scored. If I record the third out, iScore does not let me advance the runner to home to record the run (by asking me what happened to the 3rd-base runner, like it would if there were less than two outs), but immediately begins the following half-inning. How can I score this?

Also, unrelated question: if I'm scoring a game, is there a way to get back to the main start screen without quitting and then restarting the app?

You just need to credit the batter with a single, so In Play, Single, Advance the runner on 3rd home, Advanced by Batter, and then mark the batter as out, 2nd base, Tagged out.

As for your second question, I haven't found a way.

To get back to the main start screen in version 1.65, it is quite unintuitive, but go to the Lineup, then you can go back to the game listing from there. This has been fixed in version 2.0 (hoping for approval any day now).

Ah, OK, thanks. I was scoring the batter as an out, so I never got the chance to advance the runner on 3rd.
