Hit placement/spray charts incorrect

Post by Tabe » Tue Aug 27, 2013 10:33 am

Scoring games on a rooted Nook HD+ running Android 4.3, I am seeing consistent issues with spray charts for hitters. Specifically, I am seeing balls that I recorded as being near the fence that then display as being over the fence the hitter's next time up. Outs, doubles, whatever, all showing up past the fence as if they were homers. I don't know if other types of hit placements are effected - that is, I don't know if this issue only impacts balls near the fence - but I have seen it numerous times across multiple games on balls near the fence.

We have this issue on our list of things to improve. The problem is that the Nook HD+ does not report its screen density properly, so the conversion from "internal units" to display units is wrong. We are hoping that Barnes and Noble will fix this issue with their device in a future update. If they do not, we will try and work around the issue they have created in a future update of iScore.
