tracking tournament innings pitched

Post by bball_dad » Mon May 19, 2014 3:04 am

Is suppose this is first a question, and then it could be a request.

Is there a "while scoring game in progress" method to track or immediately pull up innings pitched for not only the pitcher on the mound, but those on the active roster for a particular weekend tournament. This came up this past weekend as the coaching staff was debating strategy on whether pitcher x should be pulled and pitcher y inserted, given that we were nearing the end of the tournament and an extra game was required. The helpful data for this is buried in previous games, and wasn't immediately available.

If there is a way of doing this already, I'd love to know it. If there isn't perhaps this would be helpful to lots of travel baseball folks and could be incorporated into a future version.

Thanks,

M

If using "Leagues" you can view the stats for all completed games in the tournament, it would not include the active game, but it would be easy enough to add those two together.

Echo Mark's post. Use of leagues is crucial for travel ball teams. Create a league for tourney and you get innings (or outs or pitches) for that set of games.

the variety of different rules is such, iscore captures the data ,.. but you need to track the implications on your own.. paper of notes on your device.

there is no reasonable way to have a pop up while in game to cover all the scenarios

I have trained a number of folks on iscore over the years, and tell them there are still occasions you want to have a notepad handy .. or just flip to a notes app on your device. I keep league or tourney specific rules handy this way.
