Bunt foul option

Post by markin » Mon Aug 11, 2014 12:50 pm

It would be very helpful to be able to keep track of how many foul balls are bunt fouls (could be a swipe of the foul button). Would be useful to track more than just third strike bunt foul for out.

Thanks!

We get this request occasionally, so it is on our enhancement list for future consideration. Thank you.

In scorekeeping for girl's fastpitch I've often wondered if it would be worth keeping track of whether the batter was trying to bunt or slap when they either fouled it off or were called for a strike. (maybe even what they were doing to possibly cause the pitcher to throw a ball.) I would guess coaches can figure out pretty quickly how good a girl is at bunting or slapping without needing stats to back it up. Then you'd also have to figure out what is a bunt, a drag bunt, a slap or just a mishit full swing.

Not asking for an enhancement ..... just wondering.... :)

counsel i have given before on the forum and with others. .scorekeeping is not a replacement for coaching and their skill base needed to evaluate, teach and develop players.
