Foul balls after the second strike
All foul balls, even after the second strike appear to be credited to the pitcher as strikes. Are you aware of this?

That is correct. A foul ball is credited as a strike for a pitcher.

rplougee: Don't confuse strikes with strikeouts. Your post implies that you believe a pitcher should be credited with strikes only a maximum of three times in a given AB, or in other words. That isn't the case. All strikes, whether called, swinging, foul, or balls in play, are credited to the pitcher, and this is important to measuring the effectiveness of a pitcher.
