Change Scoring for a Game that is over

Post by ayapkowitz » Wed Jun 09, 2010 7:05 pm

Is there an easy way to go back and make a scoring change once a game is over. Can I make a change without having to undo everything?

Go to Game Manager, select your game, select Pitch by Pitch, select the pitch where you want to make a correction, and use the Edit button on that pitch to make your change.

I erroneously logged a runner as having scored instead of being held up at 3rd. Didn't realize the error until a couple of innings later. So, I waited for the game to end, went to Game Manager, Pitch-by-Pitch to select the play in question. When I tried to change the runner's result, I was unable to change his status back to 3rd base. No matter what I did, it refused to accept the change from Advanced by Batter to Home to Held up at 3rd.

Any ideas?

As mentioned in other posts and worth reiterating here...

At this time (v 2.7)...
Iscore limits the type of plays that can be edited after the fact through pitch By pitch editor to only "non game changing" edits ( examples.... substitution, hit types, location, single to error, etc). You can not make "game changing edits" (examples... unscoring a run, changing a hit to out,and many more....) This is Because of the complexity and interdependency of subsequent events . Unacceptable edits are 'grayed out' in pitch by pitch editor.

That said, FTM is working on ways to enable more editing. with each updated version of iscore we have seen less edit restrictions . FTM has said next version ( no timetable given) will allow even more editing.

Scoring complete games accurately does require paying pretty detailed attention to the game and if you catch your mistakes real time, you always have the undo button.

Agreed. User error is at fault here.

Thanks for the info.
